That’s right, those new daytime running lights are part of a new all-LED headlamp set-up for the updated Evoque. These aren’t just basic LED lamps, either, but a full adaptive system.
Adaptive LED headlights are designed to give you the best possible view of the road ahead without dazzling other motorists. Land Rover hasn’t been specific about how its system works, except to say that it ‘provides superior illumination in dark conditions, following the curves of the road’.

But the brand has confirmed a new engine line-up – so that’s another home for the Ingenium petrols and diesels, then – plus new ‘safety and convenience’ features and an interior refresh. This last is almost certain to include climate control knobs with built-in displays, like the F-Type and Discovery Sport.
When will we know more about the 2016 Range Rover Evoque?
Land Rover is referring to the new Evoque as the 2016 model year in American fashion, meaning it will actually be on sale in 2015, probably not long after its debut at the Geneva motor show in March.
The next round of details is due on Monday 23 February, so we’ll bring you more then.
