Motorists can now take advantage of the new customer service center to get their driving-related transactions done at any time of the day or night using the I-Counter facility, a mini smart and integrated customer service center.
There are various services offered through the I-Counter which include making inquiries, payment of traffic fines, licensing/renewing of vehicle registration, and issuing/renewing a driver license, insurance premium reimbursement certificate and clearance certificate.
RTA is in the process of adding more services such as therefund of payments and the top-up of Nol cards/seasonal parking cards. The newfacility can be accessed by customers with an option of five languages (Arabic,English, Urdu, and Chinese), General and Chairman of the Board of ExecutiveDirectors of Dubai’s RTA – Mattar Al Tayer, stressed on the authority’srelentless efforts to harness smart technologies for people’s convenience.
There will be four machines deployed in the customerhappiness centre in UMM Ramool, three will be placed at the customer happinesscentre in Deira and another three will be in the Dubai Ferry and Smart Busincluded in the first phase of I-Counter deployment.
There will be 700 taxis that will have the I-Counterdeployed in them, apart from happiness centers that are located in Al Barshaand Al Twar as part of the next phase.
