Range Rover Evoque 2016: The First Land Rover to get all-LED headlights

That’s right, those new daytime running lights are part of a new all-LED headlamp set-up for the updated Evoque. These aren’t just basic LED lamps, either, but a full adaptive system.

Adaptive LED headlights are designed to give you the best possible view of the road ahead without dazzling other motorists. Land Rover hasn’t been specific about how its system works, except to say that it ‘provides superior illumination in dark conditions, following the curves of the road’.

What else is changing on the Range Rover Evoque 2016 ?

Updating the look of Land Rover’s most successful single-generation model ever

But the brand has confirmed a new engine line-up – so that’s another home for the Ingenium petrols and diesels, then – plus new ‘safety and convenience’ features and an interior refresh. When will we know more about the 2016 Range Rover Evoque?

Land Rover is referring to the new Evoque as the 2016 model year in American fashion, meaning it will actually be on sale in 2015, probably not long after its debut at the Geneva motor show in March.

The next round of details is due on Monday 23 February, so we’ll bring you more then.

Range Rover is also plotting a convertible version of the Evoque, which we’ve spied racking up test miles on the road.
